Ballston man charged with burglary, grand larceny after Thursday incident

BALLSTON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call at 9:28 a.m. Thursday on Currie Court in the town of Ballston.

Deputies arrested Jacob M. Baratto, 27, of Stephentown, and charged him with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony, and grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony.

Baratto is accused of entering and remaining unlawfully in a dwelling with the intent to commit a crime.

Authorities say he is also charged with stealing a cellular phone from inside the residence.

Baratto was arraigned before the Honorable Michael Morrissey in Ballston Town Court.

He was released to pretrial services pending further proceedings.
