BOSTON — Officers from the Boston Police Department recovered a stolen laptop for a visiting couple following a swift response near North Station on Saturday.

At about 10:10 a.m., officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) responded to the area of 1 Nashua Street for a report of a laptop theft.

A visiting couple had just arrived via Amtrak and were waiting for a ride when a suspect grabbed the victim’s bag containing a laptop and fled on foot.

Officers conducted a thorough investigation and began to canvass the area.

A detective coordinated with TD Garden security, who later located a discarded bag near the dumpsters in the rear of the Garden.

The bag contained a laptop matching the victim’s description.

The detective responded to 100 Legends Way and reunited the bag containing all of its property with its rightful owner.

Officers provided the couple a ride to their hotel following the incident.
