YORK — The York Dispatch Center received a call reporting a possible drowning on Long Beach in the area of the Stone’s Throw at approximately 3:43 p.m. May 24.
The York Police Department, York Village Fire Department, York Beach Fire Department, and York Ambulance responded to the scene.
The subject, a 20-year-old female, had been removed from the water and CPR was in progress when emergency personnel arrived.
Resuscitation efforts were successful, and the woman was breathing on her own when York Ambulance arrived.
Emergency responders administered further treatment before transporting her to York Hospital.
