BOSTON — Four juvenile males were arrested early Saturday morning after a police chase involving a stolen vehicle, with officers recovering a firearm and stolen merchandise.

At about 5:31 a.m., officers assigned to District B-2 in Roxbury were alerted to be on the lookout for a motor vehicle reported stolen from Brighton the previous evening.

The vehicle had been spotted by Newton Police fleeing from a commercial breaking and entering incident, and was later seen on camera near Ruggles Street around 5 a.m.

Shortly after, at approximately 5:24 a.m., officers responded to Southern Avenue for a report of an armed robbery attempt, where four individuals displayed a firearm before fleeing the scene.

An officer observed the stolen vehicle traveling on Warren Street and requested backup to stop it, but the vehicle evaded multiple police cruisers and ran a red light at Malcolm X Boulevard and Columbus Avenue.

After reviewing security footage, officers located the vehicle before 6 a.m. in a public garage underneath 75 Saint Alphonsus Street.

The four suspects were spotted walking near 1600 Tremont Street, leading to a foot pursuit that ended with their apprehension at the intersection of Huntington Avenue and Tremont Street.

Officers recovered multiple stolen vape products from the suspects, a spent shell casing from one 15-year-old male, and the stolen car keys from a 16-year-old male.

A firearm with one round in the chamber and eight rounds in a large capacity magazine was recovered from a 14-year-old male, who later provided officers with a false name during booking.

Police discovered the 14-year-old had an active warrant for firearm-related offenses.

All four juveniles face various charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition possession, and receiving stolen goods, and are expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
