Rhode Island man arrested on weapons, assault charges

EXETER — A 59-year-old Exeter man was arrested Monday on multiple charges including possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Lee Bromley, of 415 Hog House Hill Road, was taken into custody at 9:42 a.m. after Rhode Island State Police responded to a disturbance at his residence.

Troopers executed a court-authorized search warrant at the property, leading to Bromley’s arrest.

Bromley faces charges of possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited, simple assault and disorderly conduct.

He was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing and held overnight.

Bromley is scheduled for morning arraignment by a justice of the peace as a bail violator.
