THETFORD — Vermont State Police arrested a Newbury man on charges of domestic assault following an incident on Ely Road in Thetford.
Theodore Garrison, 61, was taken into custody on May 23 at approximately 6:45 p.m. during a separate disturbance call at a residence on US Route 302 in Wells River.
Troopers initially responded to the domestic assault report on Ely Road at 9:50 p.m. on May 22.
After investigation, police determined there was probable cause that Garrison had committed domestic assault.
Garrison was processed at the St. Johnsbury Barracks and subsequently lodged at Northeast Regional Correctional Center in lieu of $1,000 bail.
The victim’s name was not released in accordance with Vermont State Police policy regarding victims of domestic violence.
