Laurens man arrested on child endangerment, gun charges

LAURENS — A Laurens man faces multiple charges including child endangerment and illegal firearm possession following a domestic dispute investigation, according to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.

Eric W. Bormann, 47, was arrested May 21 after deputies responded to an incident in the Town of Laurens.

Bormann was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal possession of a firearm, and second-degree harassment.

During the investigation, deputies discovered Bormann possessed a semi-automatic handgun without a New York State pistol permit.

Bormann was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Laurens Town Court at a later date.
