RUTLAND — Vermont State Police have charged an inmate at Marble Valley Correctional Facility with simple assault following an incident involving another prisoner.
Christopher Davis, 31, of Bennington, allegedly assaulted fellow inmate Jesse Stevens, 38, also of Bennington, on March 15 at approximately 7:55 p.m.
State police began investigating the incident after receiving a report on March 18.
Davis was issued a criminal citation on May 23 and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Rutland Criminal Division at 10 a.m. on June 30 to answer to the charge.
Both men were inmates at the State Street facility at the time of the alleged assault.
