Driver cited after rear-end collision on Route 17 in Addison

ADDISON — A two-vehicle crash occurred on Vermont Route 17 near Lake Street in Addison at approximately 3:26 p.m. on May 23.

State Troopers responded to the scene where investigation revealed that a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Nicholas Bezon, 30, of Crown Point, had stopped behind a vehicle making a left turn.

Daniel Quattrocci, 58, of Port Henry, driving a 2018 Ford F-150, failed to stop in time and struck the rear of Bezon’s vehicle.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision, and no injuries were reported.

Both vehicles sustained damage and were towed from the scene.

Quattrocci was cited for following too closely under 23 VSA 1039, which carries a fine of $220 and two points on his driving record.

The crash occurred under cloudy skies with dry road conditions.
