3 arrested in Chemung County on various charges

HORSEHEADS — Three individuals were arrested on May 22 by the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office on separate charges ranging from petit larceny to driving while impaired.

Gary A. Drake, 36, of Gillett, Pa., was charged with petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor, for allegedly stealing from Walmart in the Town of Horseheads.

Drake was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Horseheads Town Court at a later date.

Ashley R. Morenz, 39, of Elmira was arrested for false personation, a Class B misdemeanor, following a traffic stop in the Town of Southport.

Morenz received an appearance ticket to appear in Southport Town Court at a later date.

Paul B. Rose, 55, of Burlington Flats, N.C., was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs after a traffic stop in the Town of Big Flats.

Rose was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Big Flats Town Court at a later date.
