WETHERSFIELD — Detectives from the Wethersfield Police Department arrested a local man Monday after discovering child pornography during a search of his residence.
Scott C. Burr, 60, was taken into custody without incident after police executed a search warrant at his home on Valley Crest Drive on May 19.
The search, conducted with assistance from the Connecticut Center for Digital Investigations, was part of an ongoing child pornography investigation.
Investigators discovered pornographic images involving children on electronic devices in Burr’s possession, according to police.
Burr was charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material in the 1st Degree under Connecticut General Statute 53a-196d.
He was held on a $100,000 bond and presented in New Britain Superior Court, GA 15, on Monday.
