WARE — A 66-year-old Ware man was arraigned in Hampshire Superior Court on Thursday, May 22, on multiple charges including aggravated rape and kidnapping.
Ronald Ballard is being held on dangerousness following the court appearance.
Ballard faces two counts of aggravated rape, classified as second or subsequent offense and habitual criminal, as well as one count of kidnapping.
The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Ware Police Department in collaboration with members of the State Police Detective Unit.
Court records show Ballard was born on June 15, 1958.
The judge ordered Ballard to remain in custody pending further proceedings.
