OWASCO — A 37-year-old Owasco man was arrested on multiple misdemeanor charges after allegedly running naked through a neighborhood and entering a residence without permission.
Timothy R. Church was arrested May 22 on an arrest warrant for resisting arrest, second-degree criminal trespass and first-degree public lewdness, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.
Deputies responded to a disturbance call at 3:01 p.m. on May 10 regarding a naked man running around an Owasco neighborhood.
Upon arrival, deputies observed the behavior and identified the subject as Church.
According to the sheriff’s office, Church failed to comply with commands when deputies attempted to take him into custody, though he was eventually apprehended.
Investigation revealed Church had allegedly displayed intimate parts of his body in a lewd manner to three children under the age of 16.
Deputies also determined Church had entered a residence without the owner’s consent while unclothed.
Church was arraigned at Centralized Arraignment following his May 22 arrest, where an order of protection was issued between him and the children.
He was released with a future court date in Owasco Town Court.
