LOCKE — A Locke man was arrested after allegedly violating an order of protection just minutes after it was served to him, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Brian Schenck reported that on May 16, around 11 p.m., deputies served a full stay-away order of protection to Ricky A. White, 50, in the Town of Locke.
The order, issued by Cayuga County Family Court, prohibited White from communicating with the victim and banned him from the victim’s property.
Approximately four minutes after being served while deputies were still on scene, White returned to the residence, violating the order, and was immediately taken into custody.
During a search incident to arrest, deputies found a substance on White that later tested positive for cocaine.
White was transported to the Public Safety Building and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, both class A misdemeanors.
He was brought to Cayuga County Jail for CAP Court on May 17 at 7 a.m., where he was remanded in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
White is scheduled to appear in the Town of Locke Court at a later date.
