VICTORY — A Little Valley man faces felony charges after a single-vehicle crash in the early morning hours of May 17, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Harold A. Hensel, 49, was arrested after deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident near Route 104 and Coleman Road in the Town of Victory at approximately 2:21 a.m.
Investigators determined that Hensel’s truck had been traveling west on Route 104 when it exited the roadway off the south shoulder and into a ditch.
Deputies charged Hensel with driving while intoxicated with a previous conviction within 10 years, an E felony, and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, also an E felony, along with additional traffic infractions.
Hensel was processed at the Public Safety Building and later brought to Cayuga County Jail for CAP Court at 7 a.m. on May 17, where he was released on his own recognizance.
He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Victory Court at a later date.
