FALL RIVER — Police arrested three people and seized crack cocaine and an AR-style pistol with a “ghost gun” lower receiver during a raid Thursday evening in the 200 block of Buffinton Street.

The operation targeted Jesus Santana, 22, Evan Januario, 20, and Juliannah Medeiros, 20, according to the Fall River Police Department.

Major Case Detectives had obtained an arrest warrant for Santana earlier Thursday in connection with a May 9 shooting in which Santana himself was wounded.

CAST Detectives developed probable cause that an AR-style pistol was present in the residence, leading to search warrants being issued.

The Emergency Services Unit safely entered the residence and secured all three suspects.

During the search, authorities seized approximately 51 grams of crack cocaine, an AR-style pistol with a “ghost gun” lower receiver, and .223 caliber ammunition.

Crime Scene Unit Detectives documented the scene and secured the illegal firearm.

Detective Gauvin obtained a confession from Santana regarding his actions the night of the shooting, police said.

Santana faces multiple firearms offenses and attempted assault and battery by firearm charges stemming from the May 9 incident.

Januario and Medeiros are charged with trafficking cocaine over 36 grams, possession of a firearm during a felony, unlicensed possession of a large capacity firearm, unlicensed possession of ammunition, and additional firearms charges.
