Worcester man arrested on gun, drug charges

WORCESTER — Worcester Police Vice Squad detectives arrested a 48-year-old man on multiple gun and drug charges following a search of an apartment on Fairbanks Street.

At approximately 6:05 a.m. on May 22, detectives executed a search warrant and found Shawn Fleury on a living room couch.

Detectives recovered approximately 15 grams of crack cocaine in the cushion where Fleury was lying.

An additional bag of suspected cocaine weighing approximately 3 grams was found in Fleury’s pants pocket.

Two firearms were discovered on top of cabinets in the pantry.

Detectives also found a 52-gram pink substance in a knotted sandwich bag in the pantry, believed to be ecstasy.

Packaging materials, digital scales, and drug processing materials were also recovered from the residence.

Fleury is being charged with Trafficking Class B Substance 36-99 grams, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Armed Career Criminal (level 3), Firearm Use in a Felony (2 counts), Improper Storage of a Firearm where a person under 18 has access, and Possession of Ammunition without FID.
