Royalton man faces second DUI charge after traffic stop

ROYALTON — A local man was arrested and charged with his second DUI offense after state police observed motor vehicle violations on Route 107.

Craig P. Twombly, 55, of Royalton, was stopped by troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks at approximately 5:23 p.m. on May 21.

During the traffic stop, Twombly displayed signs of impairment, according to police.

Troopers conducted a DUI screening before arresting Twombly for driving under the influence.

He was transported to the Hartford Police Department for processing.

Twombly was issued a criminal citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court Windsor Criminal Division on June 17 at 8:30 a.m.
