MORETOWN — A Waterbury man is facing charges after allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a juvenile, state police said.
On April 8 at approximately 12:07 p.m., troopers from the Berlin Barracks received a report about a juvenile who had received inappropriate messages.
Through investigation, authorities determined that Austin Hoyt, 28, had sent messages of a sexual nature to the juvenile via Snapchat.
Hoyt is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Washington County Criminal Division on May 29 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges of disturbing the peace by use of telephone or other electronic communications.
The identity of the juvenile victim was not released.
