HOMER — A 32-year-old Homer man was arrested on multiple charges including felony driving while intoxicated after fleeing the scene of a domestic incident on May 19, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
Zachary E. Ellis of Frederick Avenue was charged with felony DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanor operation out of interlock restriction, and several infractions including failure to notify DMV of address change, unlicensed operator, and no/inadequate mirrors.
Officers responded to a domestic incident call at a residence in the Town of Homer at approximately 6:53 p.m.
Ellis had fled the scene in a motor vehicle before officers arrived, authorities said.
Deputies located Ellis and determined he was operating the vehicle while intoxicated and with a revoked license.
Ellis was arrested at 7:05 p.m. and transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
He was arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process on May 20 at 8 a.m. and released on his own recognizance.
Ellis is scheduled to appear in Town of Homer Court on June 3 at 5 p.m.
