DELHI — The Delhi Police Department arrested William O’Neill, 18, of Lindenhurst, for Unlawful Discharge of Fireworks, a violation of the Village of Delhi Local Law.
The arrest on May 12 followed an investigation into a reported disturbance involving possible gunshots that occurred on May 10 in the Village of Delhi.
After a thorough investigation, officers determined that fireworks—not firearms—were the source of the noise, and O’Neill was identified as the individual responsible.
O’Neill was released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Delhi Town Court.
