Brandon couple arrested after domestic dispute, assault on officer

BRANDON — Vermont State Police arrested a Brandon couple following a domestic dispute and an alleged assault on a law enforcement officer at Burr Pond Fishing access in Sudbury.

At approximately 9:03 p.m. on May 21, troopers responded to a 911 call from a residence on High Pond Road in Brandon.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the suspects had already fled the scene.

Troopers later located Eric Grenier, 43, and Bobbie Sue Grenier, 42, both of Brandon, at the Burr Pond Fishing access in Sudbury.

During the interaction at Burr Pond, Eric Grenier allegedly attempted to assault a trooper.

Both suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.

Eric Grenier faces charges of domestic assault, DUI, and assault on a law enforcement officer.

Bobbie Sue Grenier was charged with aggravated disorderly conduct.

Following processing, Eric Grenier was held at Marble Valley Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 bail.

Bobbie Sue Grenier was also held at Marble Valley Correctional Facility for lack of $200 bail.

The Castleton Police Department assisted Vermont State Police during the investigation.
