PLATTSBURGH — A Westport woman was arrested after fleeing from police and crashing her vehicle in Plattsburgh on May 20.
Tiffany M. Terry, 28, was charged with resisting arrest and unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree.
State Police observed a 2017 tan Subaru Legacy Outback violating traffic laws while traveling on Broad Street at approximately 11:37 a.m.
When a trooper approached the vehicle, Terry allegedly began yelling and refused to cooperate before driving away from the scene.
The trooper returned to their patrol car and initiated a pursuit.
Terry’s vehicle struck a curb on South Catherine Street, causing her to stop on George Street.
According to police, Terry continued to refuse commands when approached by troopers and Plattsburgh City Police officers before eventually being taken into custody.
She was transported to State Police Plattsburgh for processing and later released on appearance tickets.
Terry is scheduled to appear in Plattsburgh City Court in June.
