Waterville woman arrested on warrant, drug charges

WATERVILLE — A Brookfield woman was arrested on multiple charges including drug possession after a traffic stop in the Village of Waterville at 3:34 p.m. on May 20.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a patrol deputy from the Waterville Field Office spotted a driver with an active arrest warrant for failing to appear in the Village of Waterville Court.

The driver, identified as 34-year-old Samantha L. Kabana of Brookfield, was stopped and taken into custody.

Following the arrest, deputies discovered a quantity of methamphetamine in Kabana’s possession.

Kabana was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree and aggravated unlicensed operation in the 3rd degree, in addition to the warrant.

She was transported to the Kurt Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing before being brought to Central Arraignment.

Kabana was released with a new court date.

This marks Kabana’s third arrest in the past eight months and her second warrant arrest for failing to appear in court.
