Truck crashes into building in Leeds, injuring woman

LEEDS — A pickup truck crashed into a commercial building Monday afternoon, injuring a 21-year-old woman, state police said.

Troopers from the State Police Catskill barracks responded to reports of a vehicle collision with a building at 1122 County Route 23B in Leeds at approximately 1:00 p.m.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 2020 Chevrolet pickup truck traveling eastbound on Route 23B crossed over the westbound lane and exited the shoulder to the left of the roadway before striking the building.

The driver, identified as Reis L. Quick, 24, of West Shokan, was not injured in the crash.

Quick was issued multiple traffic tickets following the incident.

A 21-year-old female Leeds resident was struck by the vehicle during the crash.

The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital for treatment.
