SPRINGFIELD — A White River Junction woman was arrested on an active warrant Thursday evening after police conducted a traffic stop near Southview Apartments.
Officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the area at approximately 8:11 p.m. when they observed a vehicle committing a traffic infraction, according to the Springfield Police Department.
During the stop, police identified Aria Garamella, 50, as a passenger in the vehicle and discovered she had an active in-state arrest warrant.
Garamella was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
She was issued a criminal citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on April 25 at 12:30 p.m.
Following processing, Garamella was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $200 bail.
