SKOWHEGAN — Police seized nearly 100 grams of fentanyl, 28 grams of crack cocaine and multiple firearms during a two-day operation that resulted in four arrests, authorities said Friday.

Officers Alex Burns and Shane Dutill initiated the investigation Thursday when they stopped a 2004 blue GMC Sierra on Pooler Avenue for a traffic violation.

The vehicle was operated by Patric Grigway, 29, of Solon, with passenger Kayla Bowring, 33, of Norridgewock.

During their investigation, officers seized 78.5 grams of fentanyl, 0.13 grams of crack cocaine, approximately $4,000 and a handgun from the vehicle.

Both Grigway and Bowring were charged with prohibited possession of a firearm by a felon, aggravated trafficking of fentanyl and aggravated trafficking of cocaine, all Class A crimes.

Bowring’s bail was set at $50,000 cash.

Grigway faces additional charges of operating after revocation and violation of two sets of bail conditions, with no bail allowed.

On Friday at 9 a.m., members of the Skowhegan Police Department, Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Somerset Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Able Way in Skowhegan.

Authorities seized an additional 21.5 grams of fentanyl, 28 grams of crack cocaine and three handguns.
