HALFMOON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 59-year-old Schenectady man Tuesday on charges of criminal contempt and stalking.

David G. Adams faces charges of criminal contempt in the 1st degree, a class E felony, and stalking in the 4th degree, a class B misdemeanor, according to the sheriff’s office.

Adams is accused of intentionally engaging in conduct that he knew would likely cause material harm to another person’s mental and emotional health by repeatedly following them between September 2024 and May 2025.

Authorities say Adams also violated an existing order of protection during this period.

Following his arrest, Adams was arraigned before Judge Joseph V. Fodera in Halfmoon Town Court.

He was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further court proceedings.
