FRAMINGHAM — A Worcester teenager faces multiple charges after allegedly fleeing police in a stolen vehicle during rush hour traffic Tuesday evening.
At approximately 7:10 p.m., Framingham police dispatch received notification from Wellesley Police Department that a stolen vehicle was entering Framingham.
Officers were alerted via radio broadcast, and K9 Officer Andrew Lewis located the vehicle moments later near Dennison Crossing.
When Officer Lewis attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled but became caught in rush hour congestion.
The driver allegedly rammed two vehicles while attempting to escape before the stolen car became immobilized.
The 18-year-old driver tried to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by Officer Lewis.
The Worcester man faces charges including two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, resisting arrest, marked lanes violation, failure to stop for police, and unlicensed operation.
He is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday at Framingham District Court.
