Eden man arrested after domestic assault

EDEN — Vermont State Police arrested a 38-year-old Eden man Tuesday night following a domestic assault at a residence on East Hill Road.

Charles Oldham was taken into custody after police responded to a report of a family disturbance at approximately 8:58 p.m. on May 20.

Investigation revealed that Oldham had assaulted a household member, according to police.

Oldham was transported to the Williston Barracks for processing before being lodged at the Northwest State Correctional Facility.

He was issued a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Lamoille County Criminal Division at 1 p.m. on May 21 to answer to the domestic assault charge.

The Vermont State Police did not release the name of the victim, in accordance with their policy regarding victims of domestic violence.
