Driver seriously injured in Shaw Hill Road crash in Westminster

HAMPDEN — A 20-year-old St. Albans man sustained serious injuries when his vehicle struck a tree and ended up in a ditch on Shaw Hill Road.

Hampden Police, Fire and EMS responded to the single-vehicle crash at 5:45 p.m. on May 20.

Colton Bagley was driving a 2016 Subaru Outback northbound when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and then careened across the northbound lane into a ditch.

Bagley was transported to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.

Hampden Public Safety received assistance at the scene from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, Hermon Fire Department and Northern Light Medical Transport.

An investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
