Albany, NY man arrested in connection with Central Avenue burglary

ALBANY — A 23-year-old Albany man has been arrested in connection with a burglary that occurred in January.

On Thursday, February 6 at around 9:05 a.m., officers responded to Market 32 located at 709 Central Avenue for reports of an individual who had stolen items from the store on January 30 after being banned from the premises.

On Tuesday, May 20 at around 4:20 p.m., on duty Albany police officers observed the wanted man in the area of First Street and Quail Street and attempted to take him into custody.

The suspect, Vion Fallen, fled on foot but was quickly apprehended.

During his arrest, Fallen was found to be in possession of a loaded revolver.

As it relates to the burglary in January, Fallen was charged with one count of Burglary 3rd and one count of Petit Larceny.

He was also charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd and one count of Resisting Arrest stemming from the handgun possession at the time of his arrest.

Fallen was arraigned this morning in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
