NEWINGTON — A 30-year-old Newington man was arrested Monday on charges related to possession of child sexual abuse material following a cyber tip investigation.
Ethan Roy was charged with possession of child sexual abuse material in the first degree after detectives executed several search warrants that uncovered digital evidence of illegal content.
The investigation began after authorities received information through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Roy was taken into custody without incident on May 19.
He posted the court-set $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at New Britain Superior Court on June 2.
