Man arrested after domestic assault in Topsham

TOPSHAM — A Royalton man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly assaulting an ex-partner and causing serious bodily injury, according to Vermont State Police.

Jamie Howe, 37, faces charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault, unlawful trespass, burglary, and unlawful mischief.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a report of a domestic assault in Topsham at approximately 10:24 p.m.

After the assault, Howe was believed to be headed toward an address in Royalton, prompting notification to the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks.

Troopers located Howe and took him into custody.

Howe was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex following his arrest.

He is scheduled to appear in Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division on May 19 at 12:30 p.m.
