Juveniles charged after altercation at Verona school

VERONA — Three juveniles were charged following an altercation at the Verona BOCES Alternative Education Triplexus building on Thursday morning, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol.

Patrol units were dispatched to the school just before 8:30 a.m. to assist the School Resource Officer and staff with the incident.

Two juveniles were charged with obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

A third juvenile was charged with obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree, menacing in the third degree, a class B misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree, a violation.

All juveniles were issued appearance tickets referring them to Oneida County Juvenile Probation and released to a parent or guardian.

The Oneida County Juvenile Aid Unit and members of the New York State Police also responded to assist.
