RUTLAND — Vermont State Police have charged an inmate at Marble Valley Correctional Facility with simple assault following an incident involving another prisoner.
Gliffaud Gelin, 36, of Springfield, Mass., allegedly assaulted fellow inmate Winter Holland-Levine, 40, of Rutland, on May 5 at approximately 11:15 a.m.
State police began investigating after receiving a report of the assault on May 6.
Gelin was issued a criminal citation on May 19 and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Rutland Criminal Division at 10 a.m. on June 16 to answer to the charge.
