BRIDGEWATER — A Mendon woman faces multiple charges after Vermont State Police say she provided a false name during a DUI investigation.

Lael C. Stoodley, 52, was arrested following an incident on April 10 at the intersection of Vermont Route 100 and U.S. Route 4 in Bridgewater.

Troopers initially arrested Stoodley around 7:18 p.m. but later discovered she had identified herself as her sister during the investigation.

With assistance from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks, authorities located Stoodley and issued her a criminal citation.

She faces charges of DUI-Drug (third offense), driving with a criminally suspended license, and making false reports to law enforcement authorities.

Stoodley is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court’s Windsor Criminal Division on July 22 at 8:30 a.m.
