MIDDLESEX — A dump truck hauling stone overturned Monday on a sharp downhill curve in Yates County, sending the driver to the hospital with minor injuries.
The accident occurred at 11:14 a.m. on North Vine Valley Road near Robeson Road.
Mark D. Lohr, 57, of Shortsville was transported to Thompson Hospital for minor lacerations to his hand and face after the truck he was operating failed to negotiate the curve.
North Vine Valley Road was closed for approximately 2½ hours following the crash.
Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene along with Middlesex Fire and Ambulance, and Rushville Fire Department.
The Dresden Fire Department HAZMAT spill response team also assisted at the scene.
