3 arrested in East Greenwich, Hopkinton traffic stops

HOPE VALLEY — Rhode Island State Police arrested three individuals on various charges following separate traffic stops in East Greenwich and Hopkinton on Sunday, May 18.

At 8:05 a.m., Troopers arrested Bishal Koirala, 21, of Middletown, during a traffic stop on Route 4 in East Greenwich.

Koirala was charged with driving with a suspended license (4th+ offense) and was also wanted on a Second Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference on an original charge of forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates from the Middletown Police Department.

At 2:23 p.m., Christina Lucas, 31, of Cranston, was arrested for eluding a law enforcement officer following a motor vehicle stop on Townsend Road in Hopkinton.

At 2:52 p.m., Troopers arrested Gregory Infussi, 58, of North Providence, after responding to an E911 call reporting an erratic operator on Route 95 in Hopkinton.

Infussi was charged with possession of a controlled substance (Schedule I-V) and driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs with blood results pending.

All three individuals were transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where they were processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with future court dates.
