BRIGHTON — Boston police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a violent road rage incident that occurred Friday, May 16, at about 11:42 p.m. near 1032 Commonwealth Avenue.
Detectives from District D-14 report the suspect chased the victim in his vehicle at a high rate of speed, causing the victim to crash.
The suspect then allegedly exited a gray pickup truck armed with a hatchet, assaulted the victim, and vandalized the victim’s vehicle after they fled, breaking the windows and windshield.
Police say the suspect fled on Babcock Street toward Brookline following the attack.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25 years old, with a slight build, medium-length brown hair, and a short beard.
He was reportedly wearing a white t-shirt with lettering on the back, blue jeans, and brown sneakers at the time of the incident.
