MOUNT VERNON — Police are investigating two crime scenes where shots were fired Saturday morning, leaving multiple victims.
Authorities are asking the public to avoid the 100 block of South 2nd Avenue and the 100 block of South 4th Avenue.
The Mount Vernon Police Department has not released information about the number of victims or the extent of their injuries.
Officials are urging anyone with information about the incidents to contact the MVPD Detective Division at 914-665-2510, assuring that all calls will be kept confidential.
Anonymous tips can also be submitted by texting “MVPD” followed by the tip to 847411.
The investigation is ongoing as of 10 a.m. Saturday.
