HADLEY — Officers arrested a 35-year-old Holyoke man for allegedly shoplifting Lego sets valued at over $300 from Walmart on Tuesday.
Kevin Denning was taken into custody shortly before 5 p.m. after police responded to reports of a theft at the store.
Public safety dispatchers coordinated with two callers who tracked the suspect’s movements after he left the building.
Officers located Denning within minutes as he attempted to dispose of the stolen merchandise, police said.
The stolen property, consisting of several Lego sets, was recovered at the scene.
Denning was charged with shoplifting and was also arrested on two outstanding warrants.
