Lynn police arrest man for fentanyl, illegal firearm possession

LYNN — A proactive investigation by detectives assigned to the Lynn Drug Task Force led to an arrest involving over five grams of fentanyl and an illegally possessed, loaded firearm, according to police.

The arrest came after detectives conducted an investigation targeting drug distribution in the city.

The suspect was found in possession of more than five grams of fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid.

Authorities also discovered a loaded firearm that the individual was not legally permitted to possess.

The Lynn Police Department did not immediately release the name of the suspect or specific charges filed.

This arrest is part of ongoing efforts by the Lynn Drug Task Force to combat drug trafficking in the community.
