CROTON-ON-HUDSON — A Beacon woman faces multiple felony charges after state police say she was driving intoxicated with three children in her vehicle.
Jennifer L. Moore, 36, was arrested May 16 following a traffic stop on Route 9 in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson.
According to New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks, a trooper stopped Moore’s 2020 Tesla for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
During the interview, the trooper observed signs of intoxication and administered standardized field sobriety tests, which Moore failed.
Investigators discovered three children—ages 1, 2, and 13—were in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
Moore was taken to the State Police barracks in Cortlandt for processing, where she refused to provide a breath sample.
The children were released to a sober party.
Moore was charged with three counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child/Passenger Less than 16, commonly known as Leandra’s Law, which is a Class E felony.
She also faces a misdemeanor charge of Driving While Intoxicated and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
Following her arraignment in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson Court, Moore was released on her own recognizance.
She is scheduled to reappear in court on May 21 at 9 a.m.
