WESTFIELD — A commercial truck driver died Thursday after his vehicle struck a bridge abutment on Interstate 90, New York State Police said.
Troopers from the Buffalo station responded to the crash at approximately 10:15 a.m. on May 15 in the eastbound lanes of I-90 in the town of Westfield.
Larry M. Littlejohn, 41, of Columbus, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Investigators determined that Littlejohn’s 2023 Freightliner box truck left the eastbound travel lane and veered onto the left shoulder before striking a cement pillar of the Hawley Street overpass in the center median.
Littlejohn was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
An autopsy is scheduled at the Erie County Medical Center.
