GREENVILLE — Troopers from State Police Catskill responded to a stabbing incident outside Royal Metals on West Road in Greenville at approximately 7:58 a.m. Thursday.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Jason R. Park, 27, of Surprise, an employee at Royal Metals, was involved in a verbal altercation with a 39-year-old male at the location.
The altercation escalated to physical violence, with Park allegedly pulling out a knife and stabbing the victim.
Park fled the scene following the incident, prompting troopers to search for his whereabouts.
Authorities later located Park at his residence, deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The 39-year-old victim sustained minor injuries in the attack and was transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
