MOUNT HOPE — A Port Jervis man died Thursday evening following a collision between his motorcycle and a pickup truck on Mount Hope Road in Orange County.
Jason Weissenger, 42, was pronounced dead at Garnet Health Medical Center in Wallkill after the 6:10 p.m. crash, according to New York State Police.
Investigators from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at State Police Greenville said Weissenger was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson eastbound when he crossed into oncoming traffic near Tally Ho Road.
Weissenger’s motorcycle struck a westbound 2008 Ford F350 driven by a 36-year-old Otisville man, who was uninjured in the collision.
The investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
