Buffalo man charged after narcotics unit seizes illegal drugs

BUFFALO — Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia announced the arrest of Kahil Williams, 28, of Buffalo following an investigation by the Narcotics and Intelligence Unit with assistance from the Buffalo Police Department and Erie Crime Analysis Center.

On May 14, Erie County Sheriff’s Office personnel executed a search warrant signed by Buffalo City Court Judge Samuel Davis for Williams’ person, a black 2021 Volkswagen Jetta, and two Buffalo addresses.

Williams was seen exiting the Purdy Street address in the Volkswagen Jetta.

At approximately 12:20 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop after Williams was observed committing traffic infractions.

Authorities discovered suspected cocaine and MDMA/methamphetamine on Williams’ person.

The search warrant executed at the Purdy Street address yielded additional quantities of suspected cocaine, MDMA/methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

Williams was transported to the Erie County Holding Center and faces multiple charges including third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Williams also faces multiple vehicle and traffic law infractions.
