SOUTH PORTLAND — South Portland police officers arrested a 19-year-old burglary suspect Tuesday after executing a search warrant at his home.
Officers responded to the area of Orkney Street at approximately 11:30 a.m. to serve an arrest and search warrant.
During the operation, two individuals were temporarily detained for less than five minutes, one on the roadside near the suspect’s house and another in a vehicle.
Police quickly determined the detained individuals were not involved and released them from the scene.
The target of the warrant was identified as Miles Hibbard, 19.
Officers searched Hibbard’s home and later arrested him at his workplace in Cape Elizabeth.
Police said this remains an active investigation and additional details will be released at a later date.
