Rhode Island State Police report multiple arrests

LINCOLN — Rhode Island State Police made multiple arrests in Lincoln during a series of enforcement actions spanning from May 11 to May 13.

On May 11, the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Luke B. Hammerquist, 19, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, charging him with one count of vandalism/malicious damage to property and one count of disorderly conduct.

Hammerquist was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and released on $1,000 personal recognizance after appearing before a bail commissioner.

The following day, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Lincoln resident Mansoor Waheed, 60, on charges of obtaining money by false pretenses, fraudulently obtaining assistance, and giving false documents to a public official.

Waheed was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released on $10,000 personal recognizance.

On May 13, the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested another Weymouth, Massachusetts resident, Grady J. Salfity, 19, for vandalism/malicious damage to property and disorderly conduct.

Salfity was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and released with a future Third District Court appearance date.

Later that same day, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested four Pawtucket residents in related incidents.

Odair Silveira, 26, was arrested for resisting arrest and on a Providence Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pre-arraignment conference on an original charge of felony assault.

Silveira was processed, arraigned, ordered held as a bail violator, and transferred to the ACI Intake Center pending morning arraignment in Sixth District Court.

Three additional Pawtucket residents — Jemima Hilaire, 25, Eriqson Silveira, 31, and Roqciana Silveira, 33 — were each arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction.

All three were processed at the Lincoln Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with future Sixth District Court dates.
